Astro aka Akihisa Takahashi

Astro aka Akihisa Takahashi is a techno producer and DJ based in Osaka, Japan. He was the youngest resident DJ at the Osaka club Under Lounge during the 2000s and resumed his production activities in earnest at the end of 2022.He has released music on Tronic, SWAY, Mitsubasa, and KISM Recordings, receiving support from artists including Adam Beyer, Victor Ruiz, Pagano, Karotte, Hertz, Ken Ishii, and UMEK. He has contributed twice to Christian Smith’s Treatment compilation series on Tronic, received a remix offer from Pagano, and also remixed FL!M following an invitation from Tronic.

His releases have charted on the Beatport Techno charts and Traxsource Techno Essentials. Among them, Nasia EP reached No. 1 on both the Beatport Techno (Peak Time / Driving) and Techno (Raw / Deep / Hypnotic) release charts.On SWAY, he released Shenron EP, which includes a remix by Hertz. The release followed Ken Ishii as the next Japanese artist on the label and received support from UMEK, while also being featured on Kaiserdisco’s KD Radio.On Mitsubasa, he released Electric Reverie EP in both digital and 12-inch vinyl formats.With four consecutive releases across Tronic, SWAY, and Mitsubasa within a three-month period, he continues to establish his presence in the techno scene.

Alongside his work as a producer, he remains active as a DJ and has appeared on Tronic Radio on four occasions.

大阪を拠点に活動するテクノプロデューサー／DJ。2000年代に大阪のクラブUnder Loungeの最年少レジデントDJとして活動し、2022年末より本格的に制作活動を再開。

これまでにTronic、SWAY、Mitsubasa、KISM Recordingsから作品をリリースし、Adam Beyer、Victor Ruiz、Pagano、Karotte、Hertz、Ken Ishii、UMEKらがサポート。Christian Smith主宰のTronicコンピレーション『Treatment』シリーズへ2度の参加や、Paganoからのリミックスのオファーや、TronicからのオファーによりFL!Mのリミックスも手掛けている。

いままでリリースされた作品はBeatport TechnoチャートおよびTraxsource Techno Essentialsにランクインし、なかでも『Nasia EP』はBeatport Techno（Peak Time / Driving）とTechno（Raw / Deep / Hypnotic）の両方のリリースチャートで1位を獲得。 Swayから、Hertzのリミックスも収録された『Shenron EP』を発表し、Ken Ishiiに次ぐ日本人アーティストとしてリリースされ、UmekのサポートやKaiserdiscoのKD Radioでも紹介された。 Mitsubasaからはデジタルと12inch Vinylで『Electric Reverie EP』を発表。 TronicとSwayとMitsubasa、3ヶ月間で4タイトルを連続リリースするなど、テクノシーンにその存在感を示している。

プロデューサーとしての活動に加え、Tronic Radioにも4度の出演を果たすなど、DJとしても活動中。
